• Born in Moscow in 1966
• Graduated with Honours from Moscow State University in 1988 and received Ph.D at the same University in 1991 (Economics);
  
• Immigrated to Canada in 1996
  
• Graduated with Honours from the Institute for Computer Studies in 1998
• Became Sun Certified Java Programmer in 2002.
  
• Became Sun Certified Java Developer in 2002.
